UPCOMING SATURDAY MORNING HITTING CLINIC
We just wrapped up a similar 5-week clinic, led by Ramon Castro, who played professionally in the Dominican Republic and was drafted by the White Sox in 2002. Although he didn’t make a career out of baseball, he has a tremendous amount of knowledge and has spent the last 8 years working with youth baseball players.
In the upcoming Saturday camp, as was the case in our previous camp, we will meet once/week for one-hour group sessions. In these sessions, we will focus on fundamental hitting skills by using a combination of drills, live hitting and hitting in the batting cage. Ramon is especially good at identifying problems with batters’ swings and explaining/demonstrating how to correct them. And, he can make good swings even better!
The 4-week Saturday camp will be held:
*** For this session, we are excited to be joined by Abraham Nunez, a former MLB player who played two seasons for the Florida Marlins and another season with the Royals!
Abraham was recently a hitting instructor in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, but has relocated to the Philadelphia area and is excited to work with youth ballplayers.
The cost of the entire 4 week clinic $100. However if you are unable to attend the 2nd week, because you are out of town for Thanksgiving, the cost would be $75 for the last 3 sessions.
The camp is meant for youth baseball players ages 8-12, and if there are enough 8-10 year old participants, we will spend 10am-11am with those participants and hold a second hour for 11-12 year old players. Otherwise, the camp will be held at 10am for all.
If you are interested in signing up, please RSVP by sending an email with your child’s name, age and number of years playing baseball to firstname.lastname@example.org.
